Search Text in PDF

pdfFiller helps you quickly spot the word or phrase you’re looking for in a document regardless of how often it appears or the length of the document. Use the Search tool to find a word or a phrase in the currently open document. To activate the Search tool, click the magnifier icon in the main toolbar or press CTRL+F on your keyboard.

Type the text you want to find in the search field. The counter will show you the number of the current search term and the total number of search terms found in the document. The current search term is highlighted in green, the others are highlighted in red. To jump to the next instance of the search term, click Next; to return to the previous instance, click Previous.

How to Use the Search in PDF Feature

The Search in PDF feature is a powerful tool that allows you to quickly find specific words or phrases within your PDF documents. Follow these simple steps to make the most out of this feature:

Open the pdfFiller product and navigate to the document you want to search within.

Click on the 'Search' icon located at the top right corner of the screen.

A search bar will appear. Type in the word or phrase you are looking for.

As you type, the search results will automatically update, highlighting the matching words or phrases within the document.

You can navigate through the search results by clicking on the arrows next to the search bar.

To refine your search, you can use the 'Options' button next to the search bar. This allows you to specify additional search criteria such as case sensitivity or whole word matching.

Once you have found the desired word or phrase, you can take various actions such as highlighting, underlining, or adding comments to it.

To exit the Search in PDF mode, simply click on the 'X' button next to the search bar.
